A Home that breathes
Conceived by Hidden Architects, this 3000 sq. ft. Surat residence is a modern interpretation of Japandi minimalism, where clean lines, earthy textures, and curated details create a space that feels warm, open, and deeply personal. The homeowners wanted a home that felt distinctive yet open. More than a brief, they brought trust — giving the studio the freedom to shape a space that breathes not just physically, through natural materials and seamless planning, but emotionally, through spaces that reflect their lifestyle, travels, and shared values.
Art & Storytelling
Art is a deeply personal presence throughout the home. A bold red balancing-stone artwork, done on linen instead of canvas, anchors the living space with quiet strength, while a textured elephant at the entry symbolizes protection and parenthood. Each piece was chosen through intimate conversations, ensuring art became a continuation of the family’s story rather than an accessory.
Minimal, Yet Expressive
Although grounded in minimalism, the home is far from austere. It embraces a refined simplicity, where every element is intentional — from handmade bamboo lighting to sculptural furniture forms that add presence without overwhelming the space. Fabric-infused glass partitions divide spaces without interrupting the visual flow. These thoughtful gestures — subtle, but powerful — are what bring depth and life to the home. Every texture adds a quiet story; every object, a sense of care.
